How to Open a PSD File
Double click on the downloaded PSD file, if you have Photoshop installed in your pc or computer it will open automatically.

Tools We will Used in This Course
Spot Healing Brush Tool: Shortcut is letter “J”, made specially for removing spots and other unwanted object from an image. it works by simply selecting the tool and then painting on the spots on the image.

Steps to Remove Pimples (Practice)
1. Duplicate the layer with these keyboard key “Ctrl + J” (why, you may ask, so we can have a reference of the original photo while editing, to check if we mistakenly remove any important details from the subject we're retouching)
2. Select the “Spot Healing Brush Tool” shortcut is letter “J”
3. Paint on the pimples, use the bracket keys “[, ]” to make the brush size big or small.

Next, click on the “eye icon” close the layer to hide layer, check if you mistakenly remove any important details, if not “BRAVO” you have done a great job.

Observation
After removing the pimples, you'll notice the spots have been remove, but the areas where the spots are removed from are red.

How to Fix It
1. Click on the adjustment layer icon, select “Levels”
2. Move the two right slider to the left a little (this will brighten the image)
3. Invert the mask by pressing “Ctrl + I” on your keyboard (make sure the mask is selected before inverting)
4. Select the brush tool, set it opacity to “15%”
5. Paint on the red areas

These are the steps i used in removing the pimples on the image. You can also open the group layer name “My Edit” on the downloaded PSD file.
